What To Do
Talk to a Professional
If is advisable that anyone who thinks they may have a problem with alcohol
and/or drugs get a professional assessment. A professional can advise you
if you will need detoxification and what type of treatment will be appropriate
for your needs. Assessments can be administered by detoxification centers,
treatment centers/ programs, addictionologists and addiction counselors.

centers or recovery programs listed on this website. If you are
experiencing physical or medical problems, contact your physician
as soon as possible.
Gateway to
Recovery is a free education program provided by Austin Recovery.
Taught by a Master’s degreed addiction counselor who specializes
in intervention, the program is offered from 7-9PM the first two
Wednesdays of each month (except in December). It is an excellent
source of basic information on alcoholism, drug addiction, and recovery
for both individuals and families. |
